This has been a busy month for us. We have been getting forms together, and making ourselves known around town with many speaking engagements. We have decorated several of the rooms, getting ready for our first women. One family gave everything for one room. Then we made the rest of the home look nice with decorations on hand.

Our ribbon cutting with Weatherford Chamber was June 23rd . We were blessed with 35 people in attendance and 2 nice articles in the Weatherford Democrat.

Our next ribbon cutting for East Parker County will be at the Chamber in Willow Park on Thursday July 21st at 11:00 a.m. Please join us. We will have refreshments.

We will be at the Peach Festival raffling off a YETI Cooler donated by Teskey’s. Tickets are $5.00 each. Please come inside the old First Financial Bank Building on the square at North Main and come see us and buy raffle tickets to support us.

We have accepted a women to come in December and possibly one in September. We are busy taking applications now.

From Our Executive Director

God is so good. Every day here at Sanctified Hope, He blesses our ministry in such sweet ways. As many of you are aware, my back has caused me problems recently. The day of our Weatherford Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting, I was on bedrest. However, it did allow me to just be still and know that God is God and pray for the event. All reports from the event were that it was very successful and God honoring. Thanks to Sonya Gordon, the table presentation and her desserts were delightful. At times, I become very concerned about funding for our program; we have about 50 % of our first annual budget in place. During those feelings of anxiety, I am reminded by my Jesus, of Matthew 6:27-“And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to life?” In Proverbs 12:25, it says, “Anxiety weighs down the heart.” My pastor, Jon Sherman, shared a great Matt Chandler quote about this subject: “Worrying is like trying to travel in a rocking chair.” Please pray with myself and our Sanctified Hope Board of Directors for funding. If you are not giving maybe you would consider a monthly donation.
